See how my baby is doing

About this blog:

I love that I have a place on the Internet to keep family and friends updated on my pregnancy, but I do  not love to have personal details about my self or my child all over the Internet.  In an effort to protect my privacy, I am not using real names on this blog.  Nor am I allowing comments.  I would love to hear from you though!  Please email me at decemberbabyblog at gmail dot com with any comments.  I want to share this experience with everyone I love, even the people I don’t see as often.

Thanks for understanding.

About Me:

I  am a first time mom in my late twenties, married to C. for almost 3 years.  We are very excited to be parents as  we have been looking forward to it for a long time.

    • Serve the Community or Serve the Individual October 27, 2009
I know that as a library, we are here to serve the community. But on a day-to-day basis, I don’t work with the community, I work with individual people. Are the two mutually-exclusive? This is all just rhetorical thinking on my part, but two interactions this month brought this dichotomy to light and got me thinking about it. Situation 1 In my library, patro […]

    • How They Do It In... Russia - Most families do just fine without a home of their own. October 20, 2009
About a year ago, my husband and I were faced with a dilemma. We had a dog. We had a kid. We had a lot of material possessions no luxury cars or Steinway pianos — just stuff, the kind that is sometimes hard to remember where or why we acquired, the kind that takes up space. In addition to these things, we also had an apartment, not a particularly small apart […]
